Dr. Robert DuVall PT, DHSc, MMSc, OCS, SCS, ATC, CSCS, FAAOMPT


Dr. Robert DuVall is a Specialty Board Certified Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapist, a Manual Therapy Fellow Physical Therapist, a Certified Athletic Trainer, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  Treating patients from around the globe, he has been in private practice in Gwinnett County, GA for 20+ years.  He is currently the President of Pro-Perform, The Arm Care Academy, Sports Medicine of Atlanta, Medical Wellness Associates as well as NxtGen Institute of Physical Therapy.  

Dr DuVall has officially covered 3 different Summer Olympic Games and 5 World Championships where he has personally provided performance enhancing care to over 30 different Olympic Medalists and 4 World Champions.   He was the first ever physical therapist to cover the Summer Olympic games as a non-Athletic Trainer Physical Therapist.   As an athlete himself, DuVall has earned high school varsity letters in 5 different sports and 3 different collegiate sports.  He has won 6 Georgia State Trapshooting Championships and one National Trapshooting Championship.  He has been inducted into the Carroll County (MD) Sports Hall of Fame and the Georgia Trapshooting Hall of Fame.        

Dr DuVall is a long-standing community advocate in inter-scholastic and youth sports and recreation.  He started sideline Sports Medicine and Athletic Trainer coverage in many of Gwinnett’s high schools.  He has devoted countless hours to the performance enhancing development of many of Gwinnett County’s most famous athletes who have gone on to enjoy record-setting collegian and professional sports careers.  Keeping a pulse on Gwinnett’s sports, many of his professional services focus upon minimizing the number of preventable (non-contact) injuries that occur in local athletics.  Thus, he has developed Pro-Perform and The Arm Care Academy to provide local athletes with unique state-of-the-art alternatives for training which is based first upon scientific diagnostic tests and measurements.

Matthew Lancaster, BS Exercise Science

Matthew Lancaster was born and raised in Savannah, Ga. He played recreational, travel, and school baseball up until the age of 18 years old. He was a pitcher for his high school team, South Effingham Mustangs. He made JV team his freshmen and sophomore years and made the varsity team his Junior and Senior years. He was a left handed, side arm pitcher that had an arsenal of pitches that included fastball (2-seam & 4-seam), curveball, change up, and a splitter.

In Matt's junior year (07-08), his team made it to the Final Four and in his Senior year (08-09) they made it to the Elite Eight. They were 1st in their division (3A-AAA) and ranked 26th in the state of Ga with an overall record of 24-7 in 2007-2008. They were 2nd in their division (2-AAAA), 10th in Georgia Class AAAA division, and ranked 47th in the state of Ga with an overall record of 15-5 in 2008-2009.

South Effingham High School is also known to be the high school Josh Reddick, 2012 AL Gold Glove winner outfielder that plays for the Oakland A's, calls home. Matt was coached by Tony Kirkland, now head coach of Colquitt County High School. During the six years Coach Tony Kirkland was with the Mustangs, the Mustangs went 138-50, won four region championships, and advanced to the state semifinals four times.

Once Matt graduated high school in 2009, he attended University of South Carolina in Beaufort for one year, transferred and attended East Georgia for one year, then transferred to Georgia State University in 2011 where he got his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science Spring 2015. While Matt attended Georgia State University, he learned Anatomy, Fitness Assessment and Exercise Prescription from Mrs. Laura Abbott, who has a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science, Masters in Sports Medicine with a concentration in Athletic Training. He was also learned about Nutrition and Physical Fitness from Dr. Dan Benardot, a Professor of Nutrition and Professor of Kinesiology and Health. Dr. Benardot is also the Team Nutritionist for the Atlanta Falcons. He also worked with Olympic athletes for many years.
